WHY SOCIAL HOUR FROM 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm?
Many of you have expressed their wish to get to know more people easily. Come along and we will introduce everyone to each other from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the backroom only. Have a drink, order appetizers, full dinner, play piano, sing..but most of all “moving in the right circles” will make you meet everyone during the first hour.
Contact Zeyna Gagne if you’d like to play piano, guitar, sing (917-975-4086) during the social hour. We are hoping she will…Zeyna will help all of us to meet one another – with the EuroCircle team!

Pascalito (aka Pascal Sabattier) is a French singer, songwriter and poet living in New York. Born in Paris of Mediterranean background, Pascalito grew up in a very musical family. His grandfather was a ladino cantor in Algeria, his mother Liane Sab is a jazz singer and his uncle Paul Ohayon was a big figure singer, songwriter and dancer of the Paris tango scene. His musical identity reflects his cultural diversity as well as other influences including a love for Brazilian music and a strong disposition for poetry.
This modern troubadour crooner expatriated in New York since 1998 likes to call his music ‘’World Chansons’’: a colorful neo-retro fusion of chanson française, jazz and World music.
Pascalito recently landed a publishing contract with PigFactory an international film music production company based in LA. The publisher wants to pitch some of his original material for film and TV and is dealing with the musical editor who has worked on the internationally acclaimed movie ”Babel”.
In April, he was commissioned by Big Foote Music to write lyrics and record vocals on a French song to be used in a commercial for Absolut Vodka.

Join us for an intimate dinner with a small group at this new authentic Mediterranean Turkish Grill on Upper West Side. They don’t even their liquor license yet but one of the best liquor stores is located right next to the restaurant. You are welcome to bring your own wines or other alcoholic beverages.
What does that mean..well, think about the cost. This is one of EuroCircle founder’s favorite venues – and she likes great wines! Usually you pay at least $7-9 per glass. If you are alone buy a GREAT 1/2 bottle of wine next door at $15…or not so great $7. The wine store has a great collection of any wines. If you are alone 1 entree ot just two appetizers will fill you up! Their bread is great. Everything is fresh, no frozen pita etc

Their menu is extensive including well over 100 choices – it covers almost anything possible known in Turkish cuisine. Incidentally Turkish cuisine is considered by food anthropology to be one of the 3 best cuisine’s in the world.

Executive Chef Micah Willix
With over 12 years of culinary experience, Chef Willix joins Fifth Group Restaurants as Executive Chef at Ecco. Willix was most recently the Executive Chef of Seasons 52 in Ft. Lauderdale. In this position, he assisted in designing one of America’s first healthy concepts. Before opening Seasons 52, Micah served as Executive Chef of Mark’s Las Olas, also in Ft. Lauderdale.
His progressive yet straightforward approach to cooking is the ideal match for creation of the bold, European dishes featured at Ecco.

Thank you for coming to MIX a few weeks ago for our June get-together. As you know, I try to have the event every first Tuesday of the month to keep it consistent. However, for the month of July, we will have our gathering on the second Tuesday of the month (July 10th). This is mainly due to the 4th of July holiday falling right after our normal meeting time. We will have the event at ECCO lounge, which is located in Midtown (7th street). I will post an official e-mail later today.
On a side note, together with the organizer of euromeetup.com, we are trying to combine our groups to have joint get-togethers in order to expand our circle of friends. Our next meeting in July will also be posted on their website, so we should expect a good turnout. For those of you interested, the meetup group is meeting at Piedmont Park next Thursday for the “Screen on the Green”.
Screen on the Green is one of Atlanta’s most popular film series. Screen on the Green is a free event that shows classic Hollywood films in the great outdoors. In Atlanta, the films are shown at Piedmont Park in Midtown. Vendors are on hand for light snacks and beverages, but we are allowed to bring our own picnics as long as we abide by park and festival rules. So bring some snacks and drinks for yourselves. Low-backed chairs are allowed, but grills, umbrellas, and pets are prohibited. Movies begin at dusk, and there is usually a classic cartoon to kick things off.
We will meet around 6.30 pm so we can socialize before the film starts and then we can lean back and enjoy E.T.

Now to where we will meet for the screen on the green. Most of you know that it gets veeeeeeery busy down there. To make it possible to meet up and that everybody will find us we will be from 7 pm – 7.15 pm at the following location:
Come in through the entrance where 10th Street meets Charles Ellen Drive. The entrance is located at the South side of Piedmont Park and directly at a traffic light. When you go straight on the “main walkway” when you walk in, you will see the “Piedmont Park Pole” (a kind of little monument) to your left and circular seating benches to your right. Coming from the entrance they are located before the lake. We will meet at the pole and I will wear a hat with the meet up sign (same location and hat like at the picnic we had.).
