7:30/8 pm Fashion show (depends how the models get there)
7 pm to midnight DJs Palamuth and Tossun play lots of dfferent kind of music from Nordic tunes (Abba, Roxette etc) to today’s international dance music while we play multiple DVDs on the screen from Nordic countries (mute of course)
at midnight another DJ takes over!

Did you know that relative to the size of its population, Sweden ranks third in the world after the US and the UK as a music-exporting nation.
From ABBA to Neneh Cherry to the Cardigans to the Hives, Swedish pop artists have a long history of international success and continue to seduce audiences around the world. Some Swedes making recent pop headlines include Dungen, The Knife, The Sounds, The Ark, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Sahara Hotnights, The Concretes, Robyn, Jens Lekman, José Gonzalez, Love Is All, Vapnet, El Perro del Mar, Teddybears, Marit Bergman, I’m From Barcelona and Loney, Dear.
Norway had Aha…Iceland has Bjork, Denmark…hmm, we don’t know, Finland (Lordi won EuroVision song contest) doesn’t really do too well in this area. Her success is more with today’s great opera singers like Karita Mattila and conductors such as Esa-Pekka Salonen.
Literature
Sweden: The Nobel Prize in Literature, playwright August Strindberg, and children’s author Astrid Lindgren have all contributed to a vibrant literary legacy in Sweden, one which continues to grow and evolve
Finland: Mika Waltari – Sinuhe
Norway: The dramatist Henrik Wergeland was the most influential author of the 19th century while the later works of Henrik Ibsen were to earn Norway an influential place in Western European literature. In the 20th century notable Norwegian writers include the two Nobel Prize winning authors Knut Hamsun and Sigrid Undset.
Denmark: Danish literature is the subset of Scandinavian literature composed in Denmark or by Danish people. Its history stretches from the Middle Ages into modern times and includes authors such as Saxo Grammaticus, Søren Kierkegaard, Hans Christian Andersen and Karen Blixen.
Iceland: In the early twentieth century, many writers started to write in Danish, among them even some really noteworthy, like Gunnar Gunnarsson (1889-1975), one of the best-known and most translated Icelandic authors, considered a master in characterisation. However, the best-known Icelandic author is Halldór Laxness (1902-98), winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1955, author of several articles, essays, poems, short stories and novels, like the best known Expressionist works Independent People, Salka Valka and Iceland’s Bell.
