What are private messages?
Sending Private Messages through EuroCircle allows you to contact someone with a message that others won't read (as opposed to Guestbook entries). Since this message is sent directly through the EuroCircle system, you can send a message to another member without knowing their email address and without displaying yours.
How can I send a private message?
In order to send a private message, find the member to whom you want to send a private message by using EuroCircle's Search Members function or by clicking on the "Reply" link when viewing a message from another member. Once you are on their "My Profile", simply click on the "Send Private Message" link at the top of the page. Messages, once sent, cannot be taken back - so think before sending!
Legal notice: Please do not use private messages for spamming and/or unsolicited mass emails. Sending the same message to several people you do not know will be considered as "spam." Recruitment for Multi-Level Marketing / Network Marketing is also not permitted. Be advised that if you abuse this feature, your EuroCircle membership will be revoked and legal action may be undertaken.
How can I read a private message, and where are my messages stored?
If you choose this function in your preferences, you will receive an email notification when someone sends you a private message. Private messages will appear in your message inbox. The inbox shows the sender's name, date and subject - just like your email inbox does. Click on one of the messages, and the full content of the message will appear. Global messages are sent to you by EuroCircle management.
If you want to delete a message, click on "Delete Permanently" when reading the message. As the button indicates, deleted messages cannot be recovered. Messages older than 30 days will be automatically deleted from inbox
You can view the messages you have sent by selecting "Sent Messages" from the drop-down menu at the top of the list in the inbox page, which will automatically bring up the Sent Messages page. This page lists the messages you have sent by recipient, date and subject. Click on one of the messages, and the full content of the message will appear.
If you want to delete a message, click on "Delete Permanently" when reading the message. Again, as the button indicates, deleted messages cannot be recovered.
