Join Eurocircle as we help celebrate the 100th birthday of one of Philadelphia’s oldest organizations, International House. International House Philadelphia (IHP) will hold its Annual Global Gala on Friday, May 20th, 2011, at its iconic building 3701 Chestnut Street. Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of IHP, this year’s theme is It Happened First in Philadelphia.
The Centennial Gala celebrates “Philadelphia’s Firsts”. IHP, as the world’s first International House, will honor other Philadelphia Firsts which have brought distinction to the city through arts, culture, education, business and civic leadership.
The Centennial Gala will transform IHP’s home into a Philadelphia microcosm taking guests through South Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill, Chinatown, and the Main Line Philadelphia. Beginning on its beautiful terrace, guests will be transported through this miniature city as they enjoy a variety of Philadelphia’s famous foods. This black-tie event will continue with cocktails, followed by a seated dinner and conclude with dessert and dancing. Entertainment will include live music and many surprises for guests, and the event will feature a multicultural silent auction and an opportunity to meet Residents of IHP who hail from over 90 countries.
