Tanya Stawski is a realtor at Sotheby’s International Realty, writes articles for EuroCircle about different parts of Los Angeles and chairs the monthly EuroCircle events.

I am from Germay

2. What languages do you speak?

German, English, Farsi and Spanish

3. What did you study?

I have an MBA

4. What do you do?

I am a Real Estate Agent at Sotheby’s International Realty

5. What is your specialty? What clientele do you have?

My specialty is what my clients are looking for. My clientele varies from A-list celebrity to 1st time buyers…Local and international clients..Everyone is special to me. As I have lived in different countries and parts of the US I have an excellent understanding of what my clients are looking for.

6. Are there any interesting homes you sold lately?

Every transaction is fun. I love to see my clients happy either with their dream home or investment. Recently I sold the French chateau of Kara Dioguardi (one of the most successful songwriters/music producers and former American Idol Judge). Read more

7. Any tips for 1st time buyers?

Yes…If you decide not to buy all cash…I think that the most important step is getting pre-qualified right before searching for your home or investment. This way you know exactly your price range and know how much of a mortgage you can get. Another tip would be to not buy based on emotions. Of course it is always exciting to buy your first home however it is very crucial that you keep the investment aspect always in mind.
Do your research…find out about the neighborhood, history of the house and get comps for the area.

8. What do you enjoy outside of work?

Family, friends, my dog, hiking…My favorite spot is Pacific Palisades… I plan the monthly EuroCircle events in Los Angeles. So much fun.
I love to give back to my community. I volunteer time and support various charities and also serve on the PTA executive board of my child’s school
