Art After 5
For those of you who have never been, Art After 5 at the museum is definitely a great experience.
Friday evenings take on a whole new groove at the museum, with a unique blend of entertainment
that starts at 6pm, ends at 8:45pm. Right in the Great Stair Hall, bands set up each friday night, cash bars are set up in the hallway, and you can sit on the stair case and listen to great music, while strolling through the museum at any point in the evening.
It’s a stylish way to start your weekend.
For this Friday September 26th -
Arpeggion Jazz Ensembler will be playing.
Bassist Warren Oree formed the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble in 1979; since then the group has recorded seven albums and performed throughout the world. The band’s eclectic and versatile repertoire includes original and standard compositions – all of which are combined in their energetic, unpredictable live shows. This program explores this many “colors” of jazz and how these images translate to sound.
Cost of the evening is basically the general museum admission price of $14.00.
Tickets can be purchased that evening. No need to buy in advance.
We can walk over the the Fairmount Area and get some drinks/food at a local pub !
