Rebecca Davis Dance Company Presents DARFUR
REBECCA DAVIS DANCE COMPANY
WORLD PREMIERE EVENT
Thanks to the gracious invitation of Eurocircle member Rebecca Davis, you are invited to her world premiere of DARFUR, a modern dance production inspired by the experiences of US Marine Brian Steidle and his book The Devil Came on Horseback.
About the Show
In this world premiere, the experiences of U.S. Marine Brian Steidle are adapted into a powerful and engaging multimedia dance production. Serving as an African Union Military Observer, Steidle spent six months in war-torn Darfur and captured his impressions in the book and documentary film The Devil Came on Horseback. Now Steidle’s experience comes to the stage in a one-act modern dance production.
The show features Second Life video projection by Human Plus Nature and choreography set to contemporary rock and alternative music. 25% of each ticket sold will be donated to Global Grassroots, a non-profit organization that supports conscious social change for female victims of genocide and gender-based violence.
This show is intended for mature audiences ages 14 and up.
