ABOUT OUR ARMENIAN HOSTESS LOOSINEH:
Loosineh was born in Tehran, Iran, into one of the largest communities of the Armenian Diaspora in the Middle East. Following Armenia's independence from the Soviet Union, she has visited Yerevan several times, each visit being a more enriching experience for her. She is passionate about the heritage and culture of ancient countries, in particular those of the Near East, Middle East and Eastern Europe. From a very young age, she has been heavily active in several communities and organizations, mainly planning cultural and educational events. Loosineh moved to the United States in 2002 and received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. Currently, she works in the field of science and nanotechnology. She takes pleasure in planning high-quality events and introducing people to new and different cultures from around the world, especially the rich and ancient Armenian culture. She loves to learn about new processes, and one of her favorites is Globalization. In her spare time she enjoys improving her skills in Argentine Tango.
Information about Yerevan
In 2009 Yerevan will celebrate 2791th Anniversary of its foundation, which makes it one of the most ancient cities in the world. So come join us in night of dancing, and enjoying Armenian delicacies such as Armenian wine, brandy, very special white mulberry vodka, and delicious hors d'oeuvres (dolma, stuffed phylo dough, eggplant & tomato salad, hummus, pomegranate salad and etc). To Armenians music and dancing is the real food for the sole. That's why we have invited the beautiful ladies of the Yerevan Armenian Modern Folk Dance group to perform for us, and also show us how to jump and dance with the Armenian music. Not to mention that, dancing to Armenians is not just excusive to Armenian folk dance, but Latin, Swing and any other dance is as exciting to Armenians as the folk dances.

HISTORY AT-A-GLANCE
We are pleased to announce that Layla Sabourian (The Best Profile winner 2006) as the official new SF leader - end of 2006. As you know SF has gone through growing pains in leadership since the first event in 2000 organized by Christopher Plasser (Austria). In Feb 2001 Kaisa Kokkonen (founder of EuroCircle.com on Jan 11 1999) flew from NYC to San Francisco after spending a year collecting over 500 emails, to re-organize the team and arrange a super-succesful large NYC-style networking event with Katharina Davis's, Chris Plasser's and Sebastien Espinasse's help. After several changes in the past years The Global Team feels that Layla will be the right person to lead the area with integrity & fiscal responsibility & with a multitude of events from hiking to networking that will appeal to a diverse membership.
Layla started organizing some events in South Bay area such as August 8th "An Exotic Night of Fashion" at Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge
(99 East San Fernando Street, San Jose.
Feel free to email Layla or call her if you'd like arrange some fun outdoor activities from picnics to friendly soccer matches.
