In October 2005 Anna-Maija 'retired' from New York City, having run the administrative department for a Danish pharmaceutical firm on Madison Avenue for five years, and moved to Miami. She works as a Real Estate Agent, mostly from a mobile office around Miami Beach, and actively runs EuroCircle Miami events together with the Miami Team.
Interests
Anna-Maija is a seasoned world-traveler, experienced in traveling solo around Europe, Africa, Australia and Central America. She also enjoys scuba diving, cross-training, reading, pool and the beach (not hard in Miami!), and all the cultural events, networking and partying Miami has to offer.
EuroCircle Insights
After graduating with a Paralegal Degree she accepted a job at the Consulate General of Finland in New York where she worked as assistant for the Press and Cultural Affairs department from 1998-2001. Simultaneusly Anna-Maija ran a networking organization, Finnish Urban Network (FUN) organizing legendary get-togethers and parties in New York City for Finns, Scandinavians and friends interested in Finnish and Scandinavian culture. That is how she met EuroCircle Founder Kaisa, who is also Finnish. She also expanded the very successful concept of FUN to major cities in the US, hence inspiring affiliates to start similarly-structured networking organizations.
Goals and Beliefs
Girls' Night Out In Town
Inviting a group of Women of all ages, married or single, together to share ideas, hearts, lives, spirits, and to network in a fun and elegant setting - creating a sense of permanence in the middle of all the craziness. Men are invited later in the evening, after the Girls spend two hours talking and networking among just women.
